The Old Oil House Details

The Old Oil House was formerly an old stone oil store that was converted during 1984. The cottage has recently been extensively refurbished. The Old Oil House benefits from modern and well equipped fittings whilst still retaining many of its original features such as beams to the ceilings and small paned windows.

Lounge / Diner - A good sized comfortable sitting room with wooden floors,  beamed ceiling, two leather sofas and an electric cast iron stove for those chilly Cornish evenings.  A small dining area consisting of a table and four chairs.

Kitchen – The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a washing machine, dish washer, American style fridge freezer and microwave with a grill, along with a full oven and hob.  Every effort has been made to ensure that the kitchen is equipped with everything that would be required for a comfortable stay at the Old Oil House.

Bathroom – Modern well equipped tiled bathroom, with a walk in shower.  Towels are included.

Bedrooms  – The Old Oil House has two comfortable bedrooms, one double with a king size bed and one twin room. Both have good size fitted wardrobes, bedside cabinets with lights, and electric radiators.  Linen is provided.

Parking – There is one allocated parking space outside the Old Oil House, if additional parking is required there is a large car park almost opposite the cottage. (Please be aware that we are unable to rope off the parking space and cannot guarantee that an opportunist won't park there due to it's convenience to the local shops).

Dog Friendly – The Old Oil House welcomes well behaved dogs, although we do not have a garden or outside space, the harbour area is ideal for exercising a dog and is just a minute or two from the cottage. We stay regularly with our Spaniel, and she absolutely loves the open spaces by the Oil House - and of course the fantastic local pubs.

Electricity - Electricity is included in the rate.

Change Over - We operate a three night minimum stay, but you can arrive and leave on any days. 

Disabled Access – As the cottage is on the ground floor and is on one level it may be suitable for disabled access.
